When and how to access our food distribution
At Lion Farm Action Centre, we want to make surplus food available to local people in a friendly, welcoming and accessible way.
Our main food distribution session is:
Every Tuesday, 10.00am – 12 noon
Can’t make Tuesday? Don’t worry! We also welcome residents on a drop-in basis at other times, subject to food availability.

Making Good Food Go Further
Good food should never go to waste when there are people who could benefit from it!
Working with surplus food from local supermarkets, we help give perfectly good food a second chance by making it available to people in our community.
Surplus food can include fresh fruit and vegetables, bread, dairy products and other everyday essentials. Food may become surplus for a variety of reasons, including changes in stock levels, packaging issues or products approaching their best-before dates.
It’s about much more than sharing food. It’s about supporting local households, reducing unnecessary waste and making a positive difference to people’s lives.
